Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Launches the Latest C 350 e Plug-in Hybrid, Combining Power and Efficiency

Kuala Lumpur, 22th February 2024 – Mercedes-Benz Malaysia proudly presents the newest addition to its best-selling C-Class family, the Mercedes-Benz C 350 e Plug-in Hybrid. Assembled with precision in Pekan, this innovative vehicle seamlessly blends electric power with traditional fuel, delivering enhanced efficiency for the discerning Malaysian market.

Elevating Efficiency with an Electric Range of Up to 117 Kilometers (WLTP)

The Mercedes-Benz C 350 e Plug-in Hybrid embodies a perfect fusion of performance, efficiency, and sustainability through its advanced powertrain specifications. Its 1,999 cc engine, generating 150 kW (204 hp) at 6,100 rpm, coupled with a robust torque of 320 Nm, ensures a dynamic driving experience. Augmenting this is an electric motor with a rated output of 95 kW and a torque of 440 Nm, resulting in an impressive max. rated power system output of 230 kW (313 hp) and a peak torque of 550 Nm. Noteworthy is its electric range of up to 117 km (WLTP), showcasing a commitment to sustainable mobility.

The high-voltage (HV) battery, with a capacity of 25.4 kWh, facilitates substantial electric range for various journeys. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds and achieving a top speed of 245 km/h, the C 350 e stands as a testament to modern automotive technology, offering a harmonious balance between performance, efficiency, and an impressive electric driving range.

Innovative Battery Technology

Developed in-house by Mercedes-Benz AG, the high-voltage (HV) battery represents a logical evolution of the previous generation. With 96 cells in a pouch configuration and an internal cooling system, the HV battery ensures optimal operating temperature control, irrespective of the vehicle's interior climate. The C 350 e comes with a standard-fit 11 kW charger for three-phase charging at a Wallbox connected to the domestic AC mains, along with a mode 2 charging cable.

State-of-the-Art Driving Experience

With an increased electric range of up to 117 kilometers (WLTP), the driving experience of the C 350 e is significantly more electric. The energy recovery function, with over 100 kW output, allows kinetic energy recuperation during deceleration or downhill driving. The intelligent, route-based operating strategy considers factors such as navigation data, topography, speed limits, and traffic conditions for an optimized electric driving mode.

Exterior and Interior Enhancements

The new C-Class features a dynamic AMG Line exterior with Night Package, including high-gloss black design elements. Highlights include DIGITAL LIGHT, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, a panoramic sliding sunroof, and ambient lighting with a brand logo projection. The interior boasts an AMG Line interior with metal structure trim elements, a multifunction sports steering wheel in nappa leather, and ARTICO man-made leather upholstery in black.
