Kuala Lumpur 16th August 2024 – Lotus Cars Malaysia celebrated a significant milestone today with the official opening of its first Flagship Store in Kuala Lumpur, coinciding with the highly anticipated launch of the fully electric Emeya Hyper-GT (Grand Tourer). This state-of-the-art store, encompassing 1,765 square feet with 987 square feet dedicated to the main showroom, is a key step in expanding the brand's presence in Malaysia and complements the Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights, which opened in February this year.

Lotus Kuala Lumpur offers a premium customer experience with two bespoke delivery bays, a luxurious lounge, a dedicated merchandising area, and a configurator room where customers can personalize every detail of their Lotus, from exterior and interior choices to high-performance components and advanced safety features. Options include the Lotus Dynamic Handling Pack with four-wheel steering and additional Driving Aid features like the Parking Pack and Highway Assist Pack.

Prices are on-the-road, excluding road tax and insurance, valid for Peninsular Malaysia. All Emeya variants come with a five-year/150,000 km manufacturer’s warranty, while the battery is covered by an eight-year/200,000 km warranty.

ULTRAFAST CHARGING

The Emeya offers a maximum WLTP driving range of 610 km, depending on the variant. With a 350 kW DC fast charger, the Emeya can extend its range by 150 km with just a five-minute charge and can boost its range from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.

HYPER REALISTIC SOUND

The Emeya's design prioritizes sustainability with the use of eco-friendly materials, such as luxury thread made from repurposed fibres, PVD aluminium, Alcantara, Nappa leather, and Ultrafabrics PU. The minimalist interior features an intelligent cockpit and an intuitive infotainment system, centred around KEF’s award-winning audio system. The Emeya is equipped with KEF’s Uni-Q™ speakers, Uni-Core™ subwoofer, and Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound, providing an immersive audio experience.

Additionally, the Emeya integrates Road Noise Cancellation (RNC) technology, which uses vibration sensors and algorithms to generate anti-phase acoustic signals, ensuring a high-fidelity audio environment.

The highlight of Lotus Kuala Lumpur is the Emeya, the brand’s first electric, four-door Hyper-GT. This vehicle embodies 75 years of Lotus' rich motorsport heritage and innovative engineering, delivering pure driving pleasure. The Emeya, a recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award for product design, is available in three variants: Emeya, Emeya S, and Emeya R.

DRIVING DYNAMICS

The Emeya features full-time all-wheel drive with Lotus ICC intelligent torque distribution, setting new standards in the GT segment for ride and handling. Its electronically controlled air suspension system reads the road 1,000 times per second, ensuring a confident, controlled, and comfortable drive.

Powered by a high-output dual-motor setup and an advanced single-speed transmission (dual-speed for the Emeya R), the Emeya delivers an exhilarating driving experience. With power ratings between 603 hp and 905 hp, and torque ranging from 710 Nm to 985 Nm, the Emeya can reach a top speed of over 250 km/h and accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds (under 2.8 seconds for the Emeya R), ranking it among the fastest electric GTs in the world.

The Emeya also boasts advanced active aerodynamics, including an active front grille, an active air dam, and a motorsport-inspired rear diffuser, all contributing to exceptional grip, handling, and stability. The car's low center of gravity, combined with these features, provides a "hyperstance" that sets new benchmarks in the GT segment.

ADVANCED DRIVER-AID TECHNOLOGY

Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the Emeya enhances safety and driving pleasure. It includes real-time road information, navigation, and a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as lane departure warnings, forward collision alerts, and blind-spot monitoring. The industry-leading 55-inch projected augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD) provides seamless connectivity and access to critical information.
