Naza Italia Unveils the All-New Maserati GranTurismo

Kuala Lumpur, 6th March 2024 – Naza Italia proudly presents the 2024 Maserati GranTurismo, a captivating revival of a Maserati icon originally crafted 75 years ago with the A6 1500.

This GranTurismo coupé seamlessly marries the high-performance attributes inherent in sports cars with long-distance comfort, achieved through its potent internal combustion engine and cutting-edge 100% electric solutions. It sets a new standard, encapsulating the ethos of "The Others Just Travel," propelling the House of the Trident into the future with its pioneering adoption of a 100% electric powertrain.

Aesthetically, the GranTurismo design strikes a perfect balance between elegance and functionality, eschewing extravagance. Its distinct and instantly recognizable lines showcase a pure form that complements its top-tier mechanics, emphasizing the simplicity of its shapes and refined design elements.

Retaining the classic proportions of the brand, the GranTurismo maintains a lengthy hood and a central body intersected by four fenders. In contrast, the roofline descends dynamically, highlighting the curvature of the pillar adorned with the iconic Trident logo.

Developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab and crafted at the Mirafiori manufacturing hub in Turin, the GranTurismo stands as a testament to "Italian luxury performance," a hallmark of all Maserati models.

During the unveiling, Mr. Azwan Yahaya, Chief Operating Officer for Maserati in Malaysia, expressed excitement about the GranTurismo's introduction to the Malaysian market. Available in two versions featuring the revolutionary V6 Nettuno engine – the Modena, boasting a 490-hp 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo, and the high-performance Trofeo, upgraded to a maximum power of 550 hp – the GranTurismo will also offer a 100% electric battery-based powertrain in the GranTurismo Folgore later this year. Mr. Yahaya stated, "We believe this will be a sports car that everyone is looking for."

Technically, the GranTurismo's innovative project incorporates lightweight materials like aluminum and magnesium, coupled with high-performance steel, resulting in best-in-class weight levels. This approach aligns with the new Atlantis High electrical/electronic architecture, featuring canFD messages at speeds of up to 2 ms, advanced level 5 cybersecurity, and flash-over-the-air capabilities.

The interior of the Maserati GranTurismo boasts a modern cabin equipped with innovative systems, including the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, cutting-edge infotainment, a comfort display with an integrated touchscreen interface, a digital clock, the optional Heads-up Display, and the remarkable Sonus faber Audio system.

The Maserati GranTurismo Trofeo is priced at RM 878,800, and the Modena is priced at RM 738,800 before local duties, taxes, customization options, and insurance. The price includes 3 years of Standard Warranty coverage with no mileage restriction.

The GranTurismo delivers an all-encompassing sound experience, preserving the iconic Maserati engine's signature sound, even in the electric version. The immersive Sonus faber sound system offers two audio configurations: the standard Premium audio system with 14 speakers and 2D surround, producing 860 W for a unique natural sound experience, and the optional High Premium audio system with 19 speakers, 2D and 3D surround sound, amplifying up to 1,195 W for unparalleled depth and roundness of sound.

Balancing sportiness, luxury, and comfort, the new GranTurismo addresses customer demands from the earliest development stages, successfully merging sports performance with long-distance comfort, both in powerful internal combustion engines and innovative 100% electric solutions, setting a benchmark in the segment.
