Kuala Lumpur, 4th June 2024 – Following its impressive international debut at Auto China Beijing 2024 in April, Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur has introduced the Lamborghini Urus SE1 to Malaysia. This first-ever plug-in hybrid version of the Lamborghini Super SUV represents a significant milestone for Automobili Lamborghini. Featuring a new design, optimized aerodynamics, advanced onboard technology, and an 800 CV hybrid powertrain, the Urus SE enhances the comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions, and driving pleasure of the Urus S2. With its dual power sources—thermal and electric—the Urus SE achieves unprecedented torque and power levels in its category, while reducing emissions by 80%.

Unrivaled Driving Experience

The Urus SE offers an unparalleled driving experience, enhanced by its plug-in hybrid system, which boosts performance and dynamics across all surfaces and conditions. Featuring innovative technical solutions like the electric torque vectoring system between axles and the electronic rear differential, the twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine works in perfect harmony with the electric powertrain. The combustion engine produces 620 CV (456 kW) and 800 Nm of torque, while the electric powertrain adds 192 CV (141 kW) and 483 Nm of torque, culminating in a total output of 800 CV. A 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery, positioned below the load floor, supports over 60 km of pure electric range.

The Urus SE debuts a new centrally-located longitudinal electric torque vectoring system with an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch, distributing driving torque variably and continuously between the front and rear axles. This system works with the new electronic limited-slip differential on the rear axle, enhancing agility and traction on various surfaces.

With a total power output of 800 CV at 6000 rpm and 950 Nm of torque available from 1750 to 5750 rpm, the Urus SE boasts best-in-class performance. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h, making it the fastest production car in its segment.

Design and Aerodynamics

The Urus SE redefines SUV design with its updated lines aimed at optimizing aerodynamic efficiency. The new front hood design enhances the vehicle’s athletic style, complemented by matrix LED headlight clusters, a redesigned bumper, and front grill. At the rear, the redesigned hatch and new diffuser, inspired by the Gallardo, improve downforce by 35% at high speeds, enhancing stability.

Interiors

The cabin features Lamborghini’s signature “feel like a pilot” design with updates to the dashboard and new lightweight materials. A 12.3-inch touchscreen with an updated Human Machine Interface (HMI) and new graphics complements the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin also features anodized aluminium trim, new panel designs, and improved seat and dashboard coverings.

Driving Modes

The “tamburo” selector offers six traditional driving modes and four new Electric Performance Strategies (EPS), providing a total of eleven driving options. These modes adjust ground clearance, steering, drivability, and the sound of the V8 engine to suit different driving conditions and styles.

Aerodynamic efficiency is further improved by new under-body air vents and revamped air ducts, increasing airflow to cool the mechanical and engine components by 15%. The new front design and optimized aerodynamic underside also enhance brake cooling by 30%.

Customization

The Urus SE offers extensive customization options, including 23” Galanthus rims with Pirelli P Zero tires and a range of over 100 body colours, including two new launch colours: Arancio Egon (orange) and Bianco Sapphirus (white). Interior options include 47 colour combinations and four types of embroidery.

The Lamborghini Urus SE is now available for booking in Malaysia through Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur, the authorized distributor, starting at RM 1,028,000 before taxes, duties, and customization.
