Petaling Jaya, 14th May 2024 – Since its launch in 2021, the third-generation Isuzu D-Max has embodied the spirit of "Ryoga," a Japanese term meaning to rise above and achieve greatness. With approximately 340,000 units sold globally, the Isuzu D-Max has become one of the fastest-growing pickup trucks, renowned for its superior design, exceptional features, and state-of-the-art safety. Today, the New 2024 Isuzu D-Max takes this legacy even further with striking new aesthetics and advanced high-tech features.

At the launch, Shunsuke Okazoe, CEO of Isuzu Malaysia, highlighted that the refreshed model not only enhances its road presence but also ensures the D-Max remains a leader in its class.

“Since its debut, the third-generation Isuzu D-Max has been celebrated for balancing classic Isuzu strengths with technological innovation and meticulous craftsmanship. This new model raises the bar, delivering a next-level driving experience,” said Okazoe.

The New 2024 Isuzu D-Max is more than just a seasonal update. Extensive revisions to the front and rear design, wheels, and interior provide the vehicle with a refreshed appeal. The front end features a new headlight cluster, bumpers, grille, and bonnet, all designed to enhance style and aerodynamics. New alloy rims, a revised lockable tailgate (on the X-Terrain), and a stylish tail lamp design contribute to its dynamic new look.

Inside, the D-Max X-Terrain boasts a 10” infotainment system, new leather seats, classic Japanese origami Miura design elements, and ambient lighting, among other updates. Already one of the safest trucks on the market with its full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and an ASEAN NCAP 5-star safety rating, the new model further enhances safety with a new stereo camera offering a wider 120° view, allowing for better detection and response to more objects, including child pedestrians.

The New 2024 D-Max also improves driveability with the Rough Terrain Mode feature available in all 4x4 Double Cab models. This feature enhances traction across different driving modes (2H, 4H, 4L), making off-road driving more accessible for all drivers.

To enhance the ownership experience, Isuzu Malaysia is launching a new digital platform to streamline the customer journey. Prospective buyers can explore the vehicle’s features and capabilities through Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), without needing to step inside.

“We believe digital technology will offer prospects a comprehensive understanding of the vehicle's capabilities, accessible anywhere, whether at home or in a mall,” said Kenkichi Sogo, Chief Operating Officer.

As part of the new Isuzu Experience, customers will find revamped outlets with the new Corporate Identity, an intuitive new website featuring a 360° virtual showroom, an immersive roadshow setup, and new AR and VR experiences.

Isuzu Malaysia is hosting a nationwide launch of the New Isuzu D-Max at all its dealerships. Visitors who test drive the New Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain, either virtually or physically, between May 15 and June 30, 2024, will receive an exclusive gift.

Prices for the New Isuzu D-Max start at RM98,949.20 for the 1.9-litre Single Cab, with the flagship X-Terrain priced at RM157,938.40 on the road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia. For more information, visit here or follow on Facebook.
