BAIC Group is truly a global force in the automotive sector, delivering high-quality vehicles and services worldwide.

One of the central pillars of BAIC's global development is the creation of international business platforms dedicated to their proprietary passenger vehicles and marketing. These platforms build comprehensive ecosystems for vehicle exports, technology licensing, marketing services, and overseas manufacturing.

BAIC's commitment to global expansion became evident in 2013 with the establishment of BAIC International Development Co., Ltd. This entity serves as the primary platform for BAIC's global business endeavors, adhering to the values of creating "proprietary overseas trade platforms" and becoming "overseas integrated service providers." Through these initiatives, BAIC aims to establish an international brand image.

Over the past decade, BAIC International has achieved remarkable milestones, including establishing over 360 sales and service networks across more than 40 countries. These networks span various regions, underscoring the brand's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of international markets.

Furthermore, BAIC's global development encompasses five core business areas: the export of proprietary vehicles and auto parts, the import of technologies, equipment, complete vehicles, product conversions, overseas investments, and international cooperation. This multifaceted approach ensures that BAIC actively engages in various aspects of the global automotive industry.

BAIC X55

The BAIC X55, introduced in Malaysia, is a city SUV designed to offer both driving pleasure and reliability. It features a Variable Geometry Turbocharging (VGT) power revolution engine and a first-class cabin boasting a 99.9% antibacterial rate, ensuring a healthy and enjoyable driving experience. Its exterior design, with dimensions of 4620mm in length, 1886mm in width, and 1680mm in height, provides a spacious interior and a commanding presence on the road, making it convenient for both passengers and cargo.

The X55’s concealed door handles, equipped with an ice-breaking mode, reduce wind resistance and enhance vehicle stability while adding a high-tech flair. These handles automatically pop out when you approach the vehicle. The SUV achieves a low drag coefficient of 0.32, which contributes to lower fuel consumption. Additionally, the panoramic sunroof from Inalfa, with a large light transmission area, can auto-sense rain and close automatically, enhancing the overall driving experience.

BAIC BJ40 Plus

The BAIC BJ40 Plus, also launched in Malaysia, redefines the stylish hardcore off-road SUV segment with its new generation electrical part-time 4WD, a 15% increase in static torsional strength, and a high-performance turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine featuring GDI, DVVT, and an integrated exhaust. This model measures 4645mm in length, 1925mm in width, 1871mm in height, and has a 2745mm wheelbase, offering ample interior space for both passengers and cargo.

The BJ40 Plus showcases robust body styling with the iconic five-hole front grille design. It includes off-road towing hooks that exceed the national standard, capable of towing up to 2.5 tons with four hooks located at the front and rear. The chrome-plated exterior mirrors are not only aesthetically pleasing but also offer electric adjustment, power folding, and heating functions. An innovative feature of the BJ40 Plus is its detachable top cover and front windshield, allowing the windshield to be overturned and the front and rear roofs to be disassembled quickly, providing various configurations for off-road adventures.

The BJ40 Plus excels in off-road capability with a maximum climbing grade of 60%, approach angle of 37°, departure angle of 31°, and ramp breakover angle of 23°, making it well-suited for rugged terrains and steep slopes. It includes an off-road kit with under-bumper guards and towing hooks, adhering to 1.5 times the national standard. The vehicle's non-load-bearing body design enhances strength and shock absorption, improving off-road performance. The integral beam chassis increases vehicle rigidity and torsional resistance, while the double wishbone front suspension allows freer vertical movement of the wheels, enhancing maneuverability and stability. The five-link rear suspension balances wheel pressure, reduces vibration, and improves ride comfort, ensuring a stable and comfortable driving experience.

Inside, the X55 is equipped with two 10-inch screens—one for displaying instrument information and the other for the central infotainment system. Both screens support touch operations, enhancing convenience and enjoyment. The ambient lights in the doors come with 10 colour options, allowing drivers to personalize their journeys according to their preferences and mood. Performance-wise, the X55 is powered by BAIC’s self-developed 1.5TD engine (A156T2H), delivering a maximum power of 138kW/185HP and a maximum torque of 305Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.84 seconds, with a WLTC fuel consumption of 7.18 litres per 100 kilometers, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (DCT380).

Safety is a priority in the X55, which holds a C-NCAP five-star certification and is equipped with six airbags. Its body torsional stiffness reaches 21872Nm per degree, providing comprehensive protection for passengers. The vehicle also features multiple sensors and assist driving functions, including AVM, ACC, LDW, BSD, FCW, ABS+EBD, EBA, EPB, ESP, HAC, HDC, and BOS, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride. Furthermore, the X55 offers four intelligent driving modes—ECO, Sport, Comfort, and SMART—to meet various driving needs, along with an intelligent power tailgate for easy loading and unloading.

Inside, the BJ40 Plus enhances the driving atmosphere with cold light ambient lighting. It features a 12.3-inch full-size LCD instrument panel that displays comprehensive vehicle information and works in conjunction with the off-road comprehensive instrument panel. Additionally, it includes a 10-inch central control display screen. The spacious storage space can be expanded from 532 litres to 965 litres by folding the rear seats, making it suitable for daily commuting and long-distance travel.

The BJ40 Plus is powered by a 2.0T gasoline engine delivering a maximum output power of 165kW/221HP and a maximum torque of 380Nm, providing continuous power for both city commuting and off-road exploration. The engine is paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, ensuring reliability and smooth gear shifts. The newly optimized steering system features a gear rack mechanism with a turning diameter of 11.6 meters. The BorgWarner part-time four-wheel drive system offers three modes: 2H, 2L, and 4L, providing stable power output and excellent off-road performance.

Safety is paramount in the BJ40 Plus, which features Bosch 9.1 version ESP for driving safety and vehicle stability. The super-strong anti-roll bar skeleton forms a closed cage structure on the upper part of the body, minimizing deformation of the passenger compartment during rollovers, ensuring maximum passenger safety in extreme off-road conditions.
