Collaboration to Explore EV Charging Infrastructure at Key Locations in Malaysia, Offering Tailored Charging Subscription Plans for Long-Distance Travel

Kuala Lumpur, 6th December 2023 – Gentari Sdn Bhd, a leading clean energy solutions provider, is set to partner with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) through its subsidiary, Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd. The aim is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia by delving into the development of EV charging infrastructure and introducing customer-centric services. This collaboration, including tailored charging subscription plans, is poised to enhance the overall experience for Mercedes-Benz EV owners.

To cater to the needs of EV drivers, Gentari and Mercedes-Benz Malaysia plan to co-develop charging points in strategic locations across Malaysia. In collaboration with EV Connection Sdn Bhd (EVC), these facilities aim to alleviate long-distance travel concerns for EV users, providing them with greater range confidence.

Shah Yang Razalli, Deputy CEO of Gentari & CEO of Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, expressed excitement about expanding their relationship with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, emphasizing Gentari's commitment to building a robust charging network with high-powered chargers. This initiative aligns with Gentari's goal of contributing to the surge in EV adoption and fostering sustainable electric mobility in the country.

Currently operating 79 DC chargers across 9 states, including Wilayah Persekutuan in Malaysia, Gentari Green Mobility is rapidly expanding its reach in the Asia Pacific region.

The collaboration aims to redefine the industry by developing cutting-edge EV charging infrastructure and services tailored for Mercedes-Benz EV owners, aligning with their Electric Only vision for sustainable mobility in Malaysia.
