Bring Your Buds and Tastebuds to Singapore at PASSPORT TO FEAST: SG At The Yard

The exclusive two-weekend event with pop-up kitchens, bars, and private kitchen experiences will feature talented chefs and mixologists from Singapore

Kuala Lumpur, 6th September 2022Singapore Tourism Board (STB) Malaysia is bringing flavours of Singapore to Malaysia with the PASSPORT TO FEAST: SG At The Yard event happening over two weekends -  9 to 11 September and 15 to 18 September at Tiffin At The Yard.

Building on the hype from PASSPORT TO FEAST, a two-month-long culinary event in Malaysia in conjunction with the Singapore Food Festival (SFF) 2022 in Singapore, Malaysians can look forward to trying out Singapore’s award-winning bars, kitchen pop-ups and private kitchen experiences at the Singapore-themed food marketplace in Malaysia.

‘SG at the Yard’ is a continuation of PASSPORT TO FEAST, a two-month long culinary event in Malaysia in conjunction with the Singapore Food Festival (SFF) 2022 in Singapore. Building on the hype from ‘The SG Takeover’ in August which saw a series of bar and restaurant experiences headlined by nine talented Singapore chefs and mixologists, Malaysians can continue their Singapore food journey in September with private kitchen and pop-up experiences at the food festival located at Tiffin At the Yard.

Malaysians who love food can expect a range of fusion and mod-sin creations from eleven (11) talented chefs and mixologists from Singapore. From Xiao Ya Tou’s crowd-favourite Asian dishes with a modern twist, Laut’s famous Saba Fish Bread Otah Sando with Asian Slaw and Aged Char Siu Tuna with Calamansi Sambal Matah to MasterChef Singapore S3 Johnathan Chew’s modern take on Laksa , there is something to please every palate. Foodies can also expect a special collaboration between KIAP and KL’s Taco King in the form of Asian-inspired tacos like Umai Tostadas, Dynameat Crispy Rendang Taco and Cha Ca Taco.

For those seeking out heritage cuisines, Rempapa’s Head Chef, Alan Chan will dish out heritage flavours with a Mod-Sin twist such as Lamb Rendang Tater Tots, Katong Laksa and Inchi Kabin. At the same time, Franco-Asian bistro, The Masses will be serving up dynamic  Asian flavours with French influences, while Flourish Bakehouse will be delivering sweet and savoury rustic bakes with a local twist such as Chili Crab doughnuts and their daily bakes like Coffee Cardamom Walnut Cake.

Beyond the celebration of food, PASSPORT TO FEAST: SG At The Yard will also present a striking art installation that festival-goers can enjoy at any time of the day by illustrator and visual artist, Toby Tan, better known as Tobyato. ‘Two Countries, One Table’ is an artistic nod to the culinary collaborations between both nations for PASSPORT TO FEAST, inspired by the national animals of Malaysia and Singapore, and the plants commonly used in our local cuisines.

Brighten your weekends with Mod-Sin cocktails and whimsical pours with a dash of local flavours by Singapore’s award-winning bars Jekyll & Hyde or Sago House who are both doing pop-ups at Tiffin At the Yard. Diners who prefer private kitchen experiences can book a slot with Scaled by Ah Hua Kelong to taste the freshest locally-farmed seafood from Singapore’s waters, or with Sarah Huang Benjamin to savour authentic and delicious dishes inspired by her heritage, all in an intimate yet buzzy setting at Tiffin At The Yard.
