DESIGN
To the flooring of the entire space, Takaoka chose the ultra-compact Dekton® surface in Danae color, which, with its beige tones, reflected in all the rooms to capture the essence of movement. This same color proposal also covers the fireplace and the walls of the bathroom of the suite. In this suite, the architect used Silestone® Faro White tone, which is part of the Sunlit Days collection, the first carbon-neutral Silestone® collection. Faro White represents the white of the Mediterranean, and its walls bathed in the sun, symbolizing purity, simplicity and serenity. This color is also applied to the countertop and the kitchen island.
All the installation of finishes and countertops was carried out by Marmoraria Dimagra, one of the most longest-experienced stonemason company in Brazil. The space is also complemented by the work of landscaper Bia Abreu, in charge of highlighting the message of sustainability and bringing nature to the design proposal. Regarding furniture, Casa Cosentino Embaúba exhibits the latest projects developed by Takaoka, such as the “Abaporú” table, the “Teresa” chairs or the “Joaquim” sofa. Finally, Takaoka and his studio were also in charge of the lighting, working on different solutions to overcome the lack of natural light, due to the architecture of the Conjunto Nacional.

Cosentino Group is present in the current edition of CASACOR Sao Paulo that celebrates its 35th anniversary. The event, started on July 5 and will last until September 11, takes place in the iconic Conjunto Nacional, a building located on Av. Paulista and designed by architect David Libeskind.
Under the title of Casa Cosentino Embaúba, the project has the signature of the architect and designer Lucas Takaoka, and is inspired by the embaúba, a native Brazilian tree that is responsible for the regeneration of deforested areas, or those that are in recovery. With 220m2, the space invites us to reflect on the resignification of our own life, and how to rebuild the outdated and fragile aspects that have been affected in the last two years, mainly to preserve our future in the best possible way.
“We are practically back to normal. But today we continue to stop and, even in small doses, we learn to value our most precious asset, time. This house proposal represents the resignification of our own life, establishing our priorities, our health, our search for environments surrounded and embraced by vegetation. A daily maintenance of our souls”, says Takaoka. “And in the same way that the embaúba tree balances the forest and gives life to a degraded area, we as a society are also experiencing a moment of reconstruction”, concludes the architect.
