Porsche Malaysia Premieres the Updated Taycan and Showcases One-Off Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade
Unveiling the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade: A Showcase of Bespoke Craftsmanship
On 15 October, Porsche Malaysia premiered the one-off Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, a product of the renowned Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Sonderwunsch programme. This bespoke electric sports car made its debut at an exclusive event in Genting Highlands, showcasing Porsche’s near-limitless customisation options.
Adding to its uniqueness, the Celestial Jade features a bespoke “LongMa” motif, symbolising power and strength. This motif is visible on the sill guards, headrests, and door projectors, aligning with the 2024 Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac and adding a deeper layer of cultural symbolism to the car’s design. The interior of the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade further elevates the luxury experience with Porsche’s “Leather to Sample” programme, debuting in Malaysia. The cabin features a blend of standard Slate Grey and a custom dark green called Englishgreen, which is used on the seats, doors, and centre console.

The drive concluded with a descent from Genting Highlands back to Kuala Lumpur, with the Taycan’s enhanced recuperation system recovering battery charge during the downhill sections, proving its efficiency for long-distance journeys.
Porsche Taycan: Ready for the Malaysian Market
With its improved performance, range, and charging capabilities, the updated Porsche Taycan is now available for order in Malaysia. The Taycan offers an enhanced driving experience, ideal for both daily commuting and long-distance journeys. Prices for the new Taycan start at RM 575,000. The Celestial Jade is distinguished by its elaborate Chromaflair gradient paintwork, which blends “Urban Bamboo” (green with yellow and gold tones) with “Shifting Carbon” (dark grey with black and blue tones). The hand-applied paint process took around 80 hours to complete, with the Chromaflair pigments creating a shimmering effect that changes with the viewer’s perspective.
The updated Taycan now offers a longer driving range, making it possible to reach the East Coast on a single charge. The car’s refined handling was showcased as it tackled highways, B-roads, and the steep, winding roads of Genting Highlands, demonstrating its agility and recuperation abilities.
Performance figures have also been elevated, with the Taycan RWD variant now producing 320 kW (408 PS) on overboost, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds—0.6 seconds faster than its predecessor. The Taycan Turbo S pushes the boundaries further, offering up to 700 kW (952 PS), while the new top-tier Taycan Turbo GT generates 760 kW (1,034 PS), achieving the century sprint in a remarkable 2.2 seconds.
One of the standout features of the new Taycan is its improved charging speed. With its pioneering 800-volt charging system, the Taycan can now charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes at high-power charging stations. The car also features an optimised recuperation system, with its recuperation power increased from 290 kW to 400 kW, allowing for greater energy recovery during deceleration and longer driving range.
