Volvo Car Malaysia launches XC40 Recharge Pure Electric at RM262,459.75

Kuala Lumpur, 4th April 2022 - Volvo Car Malaysia recently embarked on an ambitious electrification journey with the launch of the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, the company’s first pure electric vehicle (EV) and today announced the hassle-free price* of RM262,459.75. Starting tonight, customers can submit an order request online on the company’s official website  www.volvocars.com/my.

The launch of XC40 Recharge Pure Electric is a milestone for Volvo Car Malaysia as it becomes the first luxury car brand in the country to locally assemble EVs. With its capabilities to assemble pure EVs through its own local assembly plant, Volvo Car Malaysia will soon export fully electric vehicles to markets within the ASEAN region.

This is in line with the Volvo Cars global ambitions – 50% contribution from its pure electric line-up by 2025; a fully electric car company by 2030; and becoming a climate-neutral company by 2040.

The XC40 Recharge Pure Electric is available in five colour options – Black Stone, Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue, Glacier Silver and Sage Green. Customers who start their order online will expect deliveries from the end of April 2022 onwards, for all locations throughout Malaysia.
