Kuala Lumpur, 28th July 2022 – The new Carnival pushes the boundaries of design and innovation to become an all-around and unexpected companion. This three-row, seven- or eight-passenger adventurer takes on a bold and athletic appearance that is both spacious and highly refined.

Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, the new sole distributor for the Kia brand in Malaysia is proud to announce that the New Kia Carnival 7-Seater and 8-Seater Grand Utility Vehicle (GUV) is now officially open for booking with a starting price of RM229,888.00. In addition, the New Kia Carnival 7-Seater and 8-Seater is the first Kia model that is locally assembled at the Inokom Assembly plant located at Kulim, Kedah, under the new distributor.

The new Carnival is the fourth generation of the brand’s flagship minivan. Designed and built with a more architectural sense of solidity and an upgraded appearance that draws on the overarching design ethos that links all of Kia's design identity. The Carnival features a new ‘tiger face’ that integrates seamlessly with Kia’s iconic ‘tiger-nose’ grille. The grille and lamps are defined by the high precision details and chrome trim above the grille forming its character line around the face of the car.

The locally assembled Kia Carnival received newly added driving comfort features that is now standard across all the variants, which include LED Rear Combination Lights and 12-speaker BOSE™ sound system.

The Carnival offers unique and innovative features that make travel more accessible, safer and more enjoyable. An example would be the Smart Power Sliding doors and Smart Power Liftgate, as well as the Smart Key with one-button open/close functionality for rear sliding doors and liftgate. Other standard options include 18-inch Alloy wheels, Dual LED Headlights and LED Daytime Running Light, a 12.3-inch High-resolution LCD Touchscreen Infotainment system with Apple Carplay™ and Android Auto™, Wireless smartphone charging and seven USB ports.

As for the variant’s additional enhancement, the 2.2D 8-seater High and 2.2D 7-seater High get equipped with Driver Memory Seat, Heated and Ventilated seats, 12.3-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, Interior LED lamps, Surround View Monitor and Dual Power sunroof. The 7-seater High variant is equipped Leather seats and Premium Relaxion seats with center walkthrough seat configuration that provides the ultimate luxury and comfort for 2nd-row passengers.  

Powered by a 2.2L Turbo Diesel Engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, controlled by an electronic shifter (E-Shift). The engine produces 199 horsepower at 3,800 RPM and 440 Nm of torque from just 1,750 – 2,750 RPM, offering smooth, linear acceleration and a performance driving experience.

Apart from the safety features, the Carnival is built with a lighter and stronger platform with hot-stamped parts and ultra-high-strength steel for increased average tensile strength and torsional stiffness, giving better driving dynamics. The improved aerodynamics from wheels, front bumpers and mirrors contributes to achieve better fuel efficiency.

The 7-seater and 8-seater Kia Carnival is locally-assembled as CKD at the Inokom Assemble plant located at Kulim. The colour line-up includes Astra Blue, Sonic Silver, Jet Black, Snowflake White Pearl and Meteor Gray, making a total of 5 colours available.

The vehicle is now officially open for booking and comes with a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty with a coverage period of up to five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
