The EV6 is the first dedicated BEV produced with the all-new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The all-new Kia EV6 is equipped with a dual-motor AWD power delivery and 77.4 kWh battery that delivers up to an estimated driving range of up to 506km per full charge* and comes equipped with a wide range of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.

The All-New Kia EV6 was designed with the brand’s new design philosophy of “Opposite United”, a future-oriented EV design characterised by futuristic and high-tech details. The new design philosophy is a showcase of human-centred, progressive design and electrified power. A new visual identity evoking positive forces and natural energy, with contrasting combination of sharp stylistic elements and sculptural shapes.

The EV6 is a powerful representation of ‘Power to Progress’, an evolution of the brand’s strength in design attained through skills and expertise that led the design transformation. A sleek, modern appearance of the ‘Digital Tiger Face’ daytime running lights and a ‘sequential’ dynamic light pattern evoking the Kia’s ‘Tiger Nose Grille’ electrification era.

The side profile accentuates a crossover-inspired design aesthetics, with sharp lines and high-tech details that create a sense of design and aerodynamics. A swept-back windshield provides dynamism and purpose, while the bold rear haunches add volume through the character line along the bottom of the doors to the rear wheel arches, visually elongating the profile of the car. Its sloping rear C-pillar was designed with the ultimate realization of aerodynamic performance, which integrates with the black glossy inserts that visually widen the window glass. The prominent roof spoilers channel the air downwards towards a raised lower spoiler, which sits on the car’s unique rear light cluster.

The EV6’s versatile and spacious interior design represents an innovative use of space, creating a unique space and driving experience benefited from the application of Kia’s dedicated E-GMP platform. In addition, the compact exterior dimensions of 2,900mm wheelbase resulted in a cabin space similar to many mid-size SUVs.

The Kia EV6 GT-line is powered by a high-voltage battery pack of 77.4 kWh, offering an enhanced dynamic capability in even the most challenging conditions. The AWD EV6 can travel up to 506 kilometres* on a single charge, with a maximum 605 Nm torque and top speed of 185 km/h, and can accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. The 77.4 kWh battery pack is paired dual electric motor powering the front and rear axles of the vehicle.

In terms of the interior, the Kia EV6 is equipped with an impressive and seamless state-of-the-art technology that enhances safety, connectivity and infotainment, designed to make travelling safer, easier and less frustrating. The high-tech 12.3-inch infotainment features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and multi-Bluetooth connectivity.

In addition, the flexibility of its Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) charging system enables the vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, which is capable of discharging energy from the vehicle battery. The V2L function can supply up to 3.6 kWh of power and is capable of operating lifestyle electronic accessories.

The EV6 is equipped with a powerful 14-speaker Meridian® surround audio system delivering a truly immersive sound experience. The audio system has been tuned by the experts at Meridian, allowing drivers to enjoy natural, lifelike and authentic audio while on the move.

The dashboard slopes towards the front of the car, creating a sense of space and openness for the front-seat passengers. The modern design seats are lightweight, contemporary and slim, with its sturdy fabrics created using recycled plastics. One of the most striking elements of the interior is the seamless high-tech curved infotainment screen. The simple form language of the wide screen and dashboard give the interior an open feel.  In addition, the EV6 offers intelligent and flexible interior packaging and a large cabin storage area of 520 litres with the second-row seat in place. The car also features a front trunk which provides up to 20 litres for the model.

As for the Advanced Safety Features, the EV6 comes equipped with High Beam Assist (HBA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Assist (RCCA), which detects oncoming vehicles approaching from either side when reversing out of a tight parking spot. In addition, there is also the Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) with Junction Turning, which provides preventive safety when navigating through junctions. Completing the Advanced Driver Assisted System features are the Lane Following Assist (LFA) and Smart Cruise Control (SCC) as well.

In addition, parking and manoeuvring the EV6 is made easier with the Surround View Monitor (SVM), which displays 360-degree view camera around the car. Alternatively, the drivers can call upon the EV6’s Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) system to take the hassle out of tight parking entirely. The RSPA system detects the parking space of its suitable size and automatically steers itself into the space through the surround-view cameras and ultrasonic sensors.

The all-new Kia EV6 is currently CBU from South Korea.  The colour line-up includes Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Runway Red, Yacht Blue and the exclusive Moonscape; making a total of 5 colours available.

The Kia EV6 is now officially open for booking, and customers can pre-order the vehicle at the nearest Kia showrooms. The vehicle comes with a 5 years manufacturer warranty (or first 150,000km), whichever comes first. In addition, the Kia EV6 EV battery warranty coverage is up to 7 years or 150,000km, whichever comes first.

In terms of safety, the Kia EV6 is equipped with both standard safety features and advanced safety features. The standard safety features of the EV6 includes 7 SRS airbags (Front Driver & Passenger, Driver Knee, Side and Curtain), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Safe Exit Assist (SEA) system which automatically provide a warning and lock the door if an approaching vehicle from the rear side is detected within the blind spot. Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), ISOFIX Child Restraint Anchor Points and Top Tethers as well as Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) also comes as standard.
